We’ve enjoyed a wonderful month at The Princes Centre, filled with a variety of engaging activities and plenty of opportunities to make the most of the beautiful spring weather. Our older clients have particularly enjoyed our singing sessions, taking great pleasure in choosing their favourite songs to share with the group. Familiar melodies from years gone by often spark cherished memories, while singing together brings smiles and lifts everyone’s spirits.
We also held an indoor golf session, designed to promote physical activity while encouraging friendly competition and fun. The activity was thoughtfully adapted to ensure everyone could participate comfortably, including those who preferred to play while seated.
At our Bourne End centre, we recently came together for a delightful afternoon tea in the garden to celebrate the arrival of our new pond. We were especially pleased to welcome children from our local nursery, whose enthusiasm and energy brought extra joy to the occasion as they joined our clients for a range of garden games. The afternoon also provided a perfect opportunity to thank Steve and Pauline Quirke for their generous donation of koi carp, which have made a beautiful addition to the pond and are already being enjoyed by everyone at the centre.
We are delighted that our pottery sessions are now back up and running. Our younger clients have enthusiastically embraced the creative process, enjoying the hands-on experience and taking great pride in the pieces they create, in a supportive environment. We have made the most of opportunities to get out and about, enjoying time together in a variety of settings. Our baking group continues to be a firm favourite, with everyone keen to get involved in preparing delicious treats.
Our monthly Princes Communi-Tea Café Lunch Club at the Risborough centre continues to be a popular community event, bringing people together to enjoy a delicious two-course hot meal and friendly conversation. We look forward to welcoming faces old and new from our local area and surrounding communities in future. Our next Lunch Club will take place on Friday 12 June 2026.
Finally, we recently hosted a Charity Fashion Show in conjunction with The WI. We were pleased to sell all 100 tickets. A big thank you to all that supported the event.
