Clients with Learning Disabilities

We like to give people opportunity, respect, choice and an understanding that is unique to them.

An opportunity to achieve your own independence

A learning disability affects the way a person understands information and how they communicate. This means they might have difficulty:
  • Learning new skills
  • Understanding new or complex information
  • Coping independently
  • Expressing their feelings/thoughts

A learning disability can be mild, moderate or severe

Here at the centre, we can offer places to people with mild to moderate learning disabilities. We like to give people opportunity, respect, choice and an understanding that is unique to them. At the Princes Centre, we like to offer new challenges, skills and opportunities to develop as an adult and the support for them to express themselves.

The staff at the Princes Centre work proactively to help clients work towards their personal goals.

Typical of the opportunities we offer are:

Educational and life skills classes
Physical activities such as horse riding and swimming
Wii games
Ten pin bowling

Choir
Pottery and arts and crafts
Photography
Gardening
Trips and outings
